The Nigeria High Commissioner to Jamaica, with concurrent accreditation to Belize, Haiti and Dominican Republic, Dr Maureen Tamuno, present at the 2022 Belize Diplomatic week.
Dr. Maureen Tamuno in a meeting with H.E Eamon Courtenay, Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration of Belize at the margins of the 2022 Belize Diplomatic week, held on Saturday 17th September, 2022 in Belmopan, Belize.
During the meeting, Her Excellency intimated the Minister about the economic and political developments in Nigeria and particularly underscored the three main pillars of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR; such as security, building sustainable economy and the fight against corruption. H.E called for increased bilateral cooperation between both countries, particularly in the areas of trade and investments.
Other Issues of mutual benefits were also discussed, especially in the areas of tourism, education and foreign direct investments from Nigeria. In response, the Minister assured of his cooperation with the High Commission with a view to promote a mutually beneficial relationship between Nigeria and Belize.
