Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, will begin commissioning 10 key projects across the state from Wednesday.
The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba, announced this during a media briefing in Port Harcourt, reaffirming the governor’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends to all citizens.
According to him, the commissioning and flag-off activities will run from December 10 to 23 across Ahoada East and West, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Ikwerre, Emohua, Obio/Akpor, and Port Harcourt City LGAs.
He thanked Rivers people for their support and assured them of the governor’s dedication to peace, welfare, and infrastructure development. Dr. Anabraba also acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s intervention, which helped stabilize governance in the state.
He urged residents to remain peaceful and security-conscious.
Projects lined up for commissioning include the extension of the dualized Ahoada–Omoku Road, Egbeda–Omerelu Link Road, Ikwerre Road–Igwuruta–Airport Road, RIVTAF Housing Estate/Anniversary Project, and Ihuowo–Ihuama Ring Road.
Others are the Obodhi–Ozochi Road and Bridge, Ogbakiri Junction–Ogbakiri Waterfront Road, Ahoada Zonal Hospital, Permanent Secretaries’ Quarters, and the Federal High Court Complex, while the Ipo Town–Airport Road Bypass will be flagged off.
