NDDC MD, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Mourns Late Sir Davies Okoro Okarevu KSJI.

Port Harcourt, Nigeria – The Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, has paid glowing tribute to Late Sir Davies Okarevu KSJI, describing him as more than a colleague but a brother.
Speaking at the reception ceremony held in honour of the late senior manager, Dr. Ogbuku recalled his first encounter with Davies Okarevu at the Commission.
“Davies was the first person I met when I assumed office at NDDC. He became my contact person to reach others, and over time, our relationship grew beyond official ties to one of genuine brotherhood,” the NDDC boss stated.
He commended Okarevu’s work ethics, dedication, and warmth, noting that he embodied the true spirit of service and friendship.
“Davies was not just a management staff; he was a dependable friend, a bridge-builder, and a man who carried his duties with sincerity and excellence,” Dr. Ogbuku said.
The MD assured the grieving family of the Commission’s full support, pledging that the NDDC would stand by them in this difficult time.
“We will not let the gap Davies has left remain unfilled. NDDC will take care of his family and ensure that his legacy of commitment and service is honoured,” he promised.
Late Sir Davies Okarevu, a renowned senior manager at the NDDC, passed away recently and was laid to rest in Port Harcourt, with family, colleagues, and dignitaries paying their final respects.
