NLC Hails Fubara Over ₦100,000 Christmas Bonus for Rivers Workers

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Rivers State has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for approving and paying a ₦100,000 Christmas bonus to civil servants, public sector workers, and pensioners across the state.

The bonus, paid on Monday, was aimed at cushioning the economic impact of the festive season and ensuring that workers and senior citizens celebrate Christmas and the New Year with dignity.

In a letter signed by the NLC state chairman, Comrade Alex Agwanwor, the union praised the governor’s consistent and people-focused approach to workers’ welfare, noting that the gesture has significantly boosted the purchasing power of its members.

The NLC described Fubara as the “most workers-friendly governor” in Rivers State and reaffirmed its support for his administration’s policies and programmes geared towards improving workers’ welfare and overall development in the state.
