Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has urged the Church to sustain its role in providing moral and academic guidance for the growth of society.

He said everyone has a role in nation-building and urged students to uphold the school’s core values as future leaders who will contribute positively to society.

The event featured the unveiling of a two-storey dormitory block named after the school’s pioneer principal, the late Mr. Francis Bomo Pog-Osia.

Dignitaries present included the Bishop of Evo Diocese, Rt. Rev. Innocent Ordu, DSSRS, and members of the alumni association.

Earlier, Governor Fubara attended the 2025 Harvest Thanksgiving Service of Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Rukpakwolusi, Port Harcourt, where he read the lesson from John 10:1–11 and reaffirmed his commitment to good governance and peace in Rivers State.
