HON. BOMA PRESENTS LAPTOPS TO TEACHERS WITHIN HER CONSTITUENCY

Hon. Boma Goodhead, MON, the lawmaker representing Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency, has initiated the distribution of laptops to teachers within her constituency, with the inaugural set of beneficiaries being those from Asalga and Akulga who have already received theirs.

This endeavour seeks to enhance the standards and modernize educational delivery within the constituency and beyond.

Mr. Godwin Ogowola, representative of the Federal College of Horticulture, noted in his address that although previously deemed non-essential, technological gadgets have become vital in delivering high-quality education in contemporary times.

The laptops are poised to significantly enhance the pedagogical process, enabling educators to seamlessly integrate technology into their lesson plans, thereby improving the learning experience for students.

Saying, this initiative aligns with broader educational reforms aimed at equipping educators with the requisite tools to excel in a digitally-driven world.

In her speech, Hon. Boma Goodhead, MON, reiterated her commitment to supporting initiatives that empower educators within her constituency, ensuring the Asalga/Akuku-Toru federal constituency maintains its forefront position in educational excellence within the state and Nigeria at large. She was represented by Hon. Caleb Inko-tariah, a renowned philanthropist and business magnate.

The event drew a large turnout of educators who expressed profound gratitude for Hon. Boma benevolent gesture. Miss Dakoruba Daerego, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, highlighted the impact of the laptops in mitigating previous challenges faced in accessing digital resources and conducting research for lesson plans.

Other members of the delegation include Hon. Samson David West, former Deputy Leader of the Asalga Legislative Assembly, and Hon. (Dr.) Oduye Tomwest, Former PDP chairman, Asalga.
