GOV FUBARA JOINS KEY APC STRATEGY COMMITTEE TO BOLSTER PARTY UNITY
Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has further solidified his standing within the All Progressives Congress (APC) by joining a powerhouse committee focused on party reconciliation and growth.
The inaugural meeting of the Committee on Strategy, Conflict Resolution, and Mobilisation on Monday held in Abuja. This high-level group is designed to mend internal rifts and strengthen the party’s grassroots appeal.
Chaired by Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, the committee brings together a diverse group of influential leaders from across the federation.
Among those in attendance were Governors Uba Sani (Kaduna), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), and Bassey Otu (Cross River), alongside federal heavyweights like Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.
The primary goal of the committee is to address the concerns of aggrieved party members.
Chairman Buni noted that the group will use “strategic engagements” to ensure both old and new members feel valued.
“We must not allow personal interests to override the collective good,” Buni stated, stressing that proactive measures are necessary to protect the party from emerging political threats.
By taking a seat at this table, Governor Fubara is positioning himself as a central figure in the APC’s national stability efforts.
His involvement signals a move toward high-level diplomacy, ensuring that Rivers State remains a pivotal piece of the party’s national strategy.
