Careerfest 2026: A Vital Strategic Bridge Connecting Businesses with Skilled Emerging Talent – Dr Nwoga
The Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce has extended strong support to CareerFest 2026, a major career and recruitment event organized by FastHire, a human resource company in partnership with CIPM Rivers State Chapter.
In a goodwill message delivered by High Chief Emeka Ezekwe, on behalf of PHCCIMA President, Dr. Chinyere Nwoga—the first female to lead the Chamber since its founding in 1957—she described the festival as a vital strategic bridge connecting businesses with skilled emerging talent.
Dr. Nwoga emphasized that sustainable economic growth in the region relies on aligning opportunities with competent, adaptable professionals. She highlighted how the event enables clear communication of employer expectations, helps young professionals grasp industry realities, and promotes structured recruitment practices.
PHCCIMA according to her, views a strong private sector as inseparable from a capable workforce, noting that better talent matches boost productivity and employability. The Chamber commended Fast Hire and all partners for the timely initiative and urged active participation from businesses and job seekers.
Mr Richard Okiasi, the visionary Lead of Fasthire in his welcome address said the event encapsulated a call to action for young talents to transcend local limitations. “Our goal is to equip the next generation with the mindset and tools to compete, create, and collaborate without boundaries,” Okiasi shared, emphasizing how the festival bridges the gap between Nigerian potential and international.
Held on February 28, 2026, at the Celebr8 Event Center along Olu Obasanjo Road in Port Harcourt, the gathering drew aspiring entrepreneurs, tech enthusiasts, and career builders under the theme “Borderless – Empowering Talents to Compete, Create, and Collaborate Globally.”
The event featured a stellar lineup of resource persons, each bringing decades of expertise to inspire and educate.
The Career 2026 event’s interactive depth shone through two dynamic panel sessions, fostering dialogue on practical strategies for borderless success and also featured Chairman of PHCCIMA’s Professional and Consultancy Trade Group, High Chief Dr Emeka Ezekwe.
