Today, October 6, 2022, the US state of Minnesota is having its annual Wizkid day.
Governor Mark Dayton made October 6th the state‘s annual Wizkid Day 4 years ago. In the sealed and stamped document announcing the day, the Governor wrote that the honour is in honour of Wizkid’s musical achievements and his role as a cultural influencer.
The honor came after Wizkid became the first African artist in 2019 to sell out the Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis.
