The Rivers State Police Command has arrested an Officer identified as Corporal Bright Oke for alleged armed robbery and car snatching in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe Koko disclosed this in a press briefing in Port Harcourt on July 13, 2023.
According to SP Koko the Police officer Bright Oke alongside with three of his accomplice snatched a Toyota Corolla around Ada-George axis when they were intercepted by men of C41 intelligence unit.
The Police Officer Okey Bright explaining his involvement in the crime, said they went to rob at Ada George after successfully snatching a vehicle they had accident while escaping and was intercepted by the Police and later transferred to CP monitoring unit.
Meanwhile, another story the Rivers State Police on Thursday arrested and paraded seven suspected child traffickers.
The men of the Rivers Police Command also recovered a 3-Year-Old Child and 2 Weeks Old Baby from the Suspects.
Spokesperson of Rivers State Police Command, Iringe-Koko, said father of the children, Michael Charles sold his three children, 700,000 thousand naira, 500,000 thousand naira and 350,000 thousand naira respectively with the help of a Doctor, one Mr Nelson Bernard.
Mr Charles in an interview with Journalists said he was intercepted by OSPAC in his community Omerelu, in Ikwerre LGA when he was about selling his new born baby.
