The Executive Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Council, Hon Mrs Tonye Briggs-Oniyide has restated her commitment towards improving the infrastructural facilities for the growth and development of the Local Government.
Hon. Tonye Briggs-Oniyide gave the assurance on Wednesday, when she embarked on the inspection of some projects in Abonnema , where she promised to carry out immediate renovation works at the facilities.
The Akuku-Toru Council Chairman, Hon Mrs Tonye Briggs-Oniyide during the inspection exercise, frowned at the poor state of some government facilities in the area abandoned by the previous administrations of the Council.
She said the rehabilitation and renovation of the facilities would improve and bring a total change and accessibility to the people of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.
The AKULGA Boss also pointed out that her administration would intensify efforts in the fight against insecurity as well continue to explore new grounds to improve the livelihood of the people.
The Council Chairman, Hon. Mrs Tonye Briggs-Oniyide had earlier inspected the ongoing renovation project at the Council Secretariat to ascertain the level of work done.
Other facilities inspected by the Council Boss include: the Abonnema Cemetery and the poultry farm projects amongst others.
