His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today at the ongoing Annual Investment Meeting (Dubai Expo 2020) taking place at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in the United Arab Emirates, has presented the economic potential of the State to investors at the forum and invited them to explore opportunities in Bayelsa State.
In his speech, he said “Our state is one of the leading producers of oil and gas in Nigeria. There is however, much more to Bayelsa than its abundant oil and gas deposits. These include but are not limited to aquaculture, Agriculture; where our arable land gives us comparative advantage in the production of rice, cassava, sugarcane, palm tree and plantain. We are blessed with a long and beautiful coastline, indeed the longest in our country, with serene beaches and exotic vegetation.
Our extensive coastline is also suitable for commercial fishing.
It gives me a special pleasure to introduce to you what I can sincerely describe as an opportunity of a lifetime – to come Invest in Amazing Bayelsa State.
We are therefore, looking forward to welcoming and embracing genuine investors from all parts of the world to complement our local investors”, Gov. Diri stated.
