Political stalwarts, particularly members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, who supported former presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar have regrouped in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The group led by former minister of transportation, Dr. Abiye Sekibo, declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Siminilayi Fubara.

The group led by former minister of transportation, Dr. Abiye Sekibo, declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
Sekibo noted that the party and the people of Rivers State were solidly behind the governor, adding that nobody has any problem with the FCT minister Nyesom Wike working with President Tinubu but that he should allow the state to be in peace.
Also speaking, the former national chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus promised that PDP will return Fubara for a second term in 2027.
