Bayelsa LG Polls: Police assures residents of peaceful exercise.

The Bayelsa State Police Command has assured the people of the state of its commitment to ensuring social harmony and security stability as the local government elections take place throughout the state on Saturday (today).

Meanwhile, the command said it has strategically deployed adequate police

personnel and security assets, across nooks and crannies in the state to prevent any form of election violence before, during and after the election.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Bayelsa State Command, ASP Musa Muhammmed, said the CP, Alonyenu Francis has urged all stakeholders, including political parties, candidates, and voters to conduct themselves peacefully and abide by the laws governing the process, adding that the State Command will be collaborating closely with other security agencies, electoral officials and relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth and credible election.

He called on all residents of the state to exercise their civic duty by participating in the election peacefully and responsibly.
