It was a somber weekend as the family and loved ones of Chief Christopher Shelton Stanley, the Enyi Oha 1 of Asa, Abia State was laid him to rest at the Vaults and Gardens Port Harcourt. The funeral service, attended by friends, family, and associates, was filled with heartfelt tributes as they bid farewell to a beloved man. The ministers at the service encouraged all present to emulate Mr. Shelton Stanley’s virtues and strive to make an impact on the lives of others while they still can.
Chief. Stanley’s journey began in Port Harcourt, where he worked with the German Butcher, showcasing his skills in book-keeping and accounting. It was also there that he met his wife, Kate Chigbu, with whom he shared a beautiful life.
He is the CEO of Gritco Nig. Ltd, the founder of Cheers bar and apartment in Port Harcourt where Nigerians and expatriates alike go for relaxation and the bar has become a melting pot for all.
His passing brought together dignitaries and close associates who fondly remembered his virtues, generosity, and the kindness he extended to everyone he encountered.
The funeral reception was held at the EUI Centre, where live music paid tribute to his memory, serenading the audience in honor of his life. Mr. Shelton Stanley is survived by his wife, six children, his brother, Dave Stanley and other relatives in England and Nigeria.
