Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Dr. Agiriye Monima Harry, joined Associates, friends and family members of Alabo Edi-Abali of the Kingdom of Kalabari and Paramount Head of Da Edi group of Houses and its satellite communities, Iniabionuari 11, Opuda Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari, to celebrate his first year anniversary on the ancestral stool.
The Council boss, speaking on November 2, at Buguma City, the headquarters of Asari Toru Local Government Area in Rivers State, commended His Highness for his numerous contributions towards the betterment of society and prayed God to grant him a peaceful reign marked with longevity.
Earlier, Dokubo Asari expressed gratitude to God for preserving him on the ancestral throne that dates back to the mid-1700s.
The decision to ascend the throne, according to him, was delayed due to concerns arising from the untimely deaths of his predecessors, the custodians of the ancestral stool.
The celebration witnessed the display of scintillating traditional dances and an array of Royalty from every community in Kalabari kingdom.
