The Action Peoples Party (APP) Chairmanship Candidate for the forthcoming local government elections in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, Dr. Agiriye Agba Harry, Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the Caretaker Committee (CTC) Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Anthony Soberekon, at his Port Harcourt residence.
The CTC Chairman, who commended the chairmanship hopeful for the visit, as well as his vision for the LGA, pledged his total commitment to ensuring his victory at the polls, expressing confidence that Dr. Agba Harry would win the election in a landslide, owing to his vast experience in public service and the goodwill he enjoys from stakeholders in the LGA.
After the strategic meeting, the APP candidate proceeded to Obuama, his hometown, where he received royal blessings from traditional rulers, as well as endorsements from the women, youth groups and other stakeholders of the community.
Speaking in Obuama, Dr. Agba Harry commended the people of Degema for their show of love and wide acceptance of his candidature, assuring that his administration, if elected into office on the 5th of October, would not disappoint them.
The veteran medical doctor and accomplished civil servant pledged that his administration’s focus would be on poverty alleviation, job creation, healthcare delivery, agriculture, amongst other social and basic amenities.
