Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri visited the Deputy Secretary General of the UN, Dr. Amina Mohammed in New York, United States.
The reason for the visit was to discuss more ways to deepen the sustainable development goals (SDGs) In Bayelsa State.
The Governor said; “I was at the United Nations headquarters in New York to meet our dear sister and worthy ambassador, the Deputy Secretary General of the UN, Dr. Amina Mohammed on how to deepen the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Bayelsa State.
It was a very fruitful and impactful meeting with key focus on issues of development, security in the Gulf of Guinea, the Niger Delta environment and the need to rescue the polluted oil-rich Niger Delta region.”
