The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Chamber of Commerce and the Commission aims to facilitate economic, commercial, industrial, and agricultural development in the Niger Delta region. Through this partnership, the Chamber will provide support, direction, ideas, and resources to promote growth in the region’s business community.
The collaboration with the Commission offers several benefits, including access to a centralized platform for the Niger Delta business community to promote their ventures, facilitate partnerships for development initiatives, and streamline data collection for business capacity and capability.
Chief Samuel Ogbuku emphasized the importance of the Board’s role in stimulating the regional economy and fostering prosperity. He encouraged the Board to prioritize the registration of entrepreneurs within the region with the Chamber of Commerce, as it would establish a reliable database for entrepreneurial activities and facilitate operations for contractors working with the NDDC.
He urged the Board to diligently disseminate information to ensure the effective registration of all serious business individuals in the region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the vision and objectives of the Chamber of Commerce.
Chairman of the Board, Chief Idaere Gogo Ogan, expressed gratitude to the NDDC for the opportunity to serve the region. He assured that the Board, comprised of individuals with diverse expertise, would work diligently to achieve the objectives of the Chamber of Commerce and contribute to the development of the Niger Delta region.
