Operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) have arrested Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
They arrested him at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja Monday morning, September 9, 2024.
DSS operatives apprehended Joe Ajaero when he was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official engagement
It is yet not clear reasons as to why DSS has arrested Joe Ajaero who has been transferred to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
Joe Ajaero was scheduled to attend a Trade Union Congress (TUC) conference in the UK, which is taking place today.
This ambushed arrest is coming just a week after Joe Ajaero was invited by the police to answer questions regarding his alleged involvement in terrorism financing.
