What is Mental Health?
A mental illness is a physical illness of the brain that causes disturbances in thinking, behavior, energy or emotion that make it difficult to cope with the ordinary demands of life.
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
However, An increasing awareness of mental health helps society work toward eliminating its stigmas, but it does much more. For instance, developing a greater understanding of mental illness can allow people to recognize those in their lives who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, or other conditions that affect their mental well-being.This could even include a self-realization of their own mental health conditions.
Reducing the stigmas surrounding mental health can be a vital step toward an individual seeking treatment.

EveAfrique Red ball has achieved levels of successes over the previous editions in raising awareness in general health matters as a way of giving back to the state and society at large.
Over the years, EveAfrique has successfully hosted 11 editions of the Red ball which has drawn attention in various areas such as health, environments and leadership, we have undertaken outreaches as a give back to the society.
The event will be held in Port Harcourt, Nigeria where “HEART OF GOLD AWARDS” will be presented to individuals who have made significant strides in the areas of protection and respect for human rights, peaceful settlement of disputes, sustainable development to the Socio-economic growth in Niger Delta region.
