HE Dr Maureen Tamuno attended a strategy retreat on the roadmap, strategic plan, and structure for the new Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy (FMMBE) as a consultant. Her expertise in Seabed Matters as a Facilitator of the informal working group on Inspection, Compliance and Enforcement in the Authority also as former Permanent representative of Nigeria to the international seabed Authority, was of immense value to the Marine and blue Economy sector
themed “Towards an effective Federal Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy”.
Amb. Maureen applauded the Hon Minister, HE Adegboyega Oyetola for the laudable initiative of Assembling Key players in the industry to brainstorm on how to expedite the realization of creating jobs and boasting the economy in line with President Ahmed Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda .
In attendance also, the Hon Minister, HE Adegboyega Oyetola, Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Chairman Senate Committee on Marine, Sen. Sanni Wasiu, and other relevant stakeholders.
It was an impactful 3 days led by His Excellency, the team has been able to collectively initiate draft guidelines and Strategic plans to assist the MMBE in developing a robust and achievable strategic plan and policy guidelines towards an effective and efficient Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
