Federal Road Safety Corps Rivers state command has deployed 1,190 personnels to patrol various parts of the state and highways ahead of Easter celebration.
In a statement by the Deputy Route Commander, Ag. Sector Public Enlightenment Officer, Rivers, DRC JULIANA U. ENI, said a total of 330 Officers and 360 Marshals, 500 Special Marshals are deployed is aimed at Eradicating Road Traffic Crashes and Creating a Safe Motoring Environment in Nigeria.
The statement also said more than 30 patrol vehicles will be deployed on duty across the State and 2 Ambulances to be strategically located on standby for emergencies.

Eni statement said the Sector Commander promised citizens of the State that the Special Patrols will adopt the engagement of motoring public through impactful public education and surveillance activities among other things with a view to regulate, check excesses of bad driving habits of the will be violators of traffic rules.
The statement further said the Sector Commander advised Rivers state people to drive safely, avoid drunk driving, use of phone while driving, overloading inter alia, traffic light violations and warned that anyone caught will not be spared.

The statement concluded by urging members of the public to avail themselves the opportunity to call the FRSC emergency Toll Free number 122 to report any emergency.
