Fubara, Obaseki other South South Governors Meet in Edo


South South Governors Under the Auspices of BRACED Commission met in Edo State to Strengthen Regional Bond. The meeting was hosted by the Edo State governor, Godswill Obaseki.

BRACED is an acronym derived from the first letters of Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Edo and Delta States.

The meeting, had only four governors out of the six in the Niger Delta region in attendance, entered into a closed door session.

Details of issues discussed are yet to be made available to the press as of filing this report.

However, BRACED Commission is a development organ set up to operate as an agency that will initiate, plan, execute and coordinate mutual issues of development in the region.

In attendance were the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, Bayelsa State Governor Sen. Douye Diri, Edo State Governor Godswill Obaseki and Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno.
