Gov. Diri in Cairo, Egypt for investment drive

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has led a team to Cairo, Egyptian capital as part of a drive to attract investments and business opportunities to the State.

The team was in Cairo to attend the 29th African Export – Import Bank (Afreximbank) Annual Meetings 2022 where the government delegation engaged in a high level meeting with President & Chairman, AFREXIM Bank, Prof. Benedict Okey Oramah and Vice-President, Intra-African Trade Initiative of the bank, Ms. Kanayo Awani on possible areas of collaboration.

On the entourage of the governor were former Ambassador to Scandinavian countries, Boladei Godknows Igali, Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Maxwell Ebibai, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Barr. Patience Ranami Abah, and Chairman, Board of Bayelsa International Airport, Dr. Imoro Kubor and Technical Adviser on Protocol to the Governor, Mr. Joseph Waribagha.
