H.E. Maureen Tamuno, Ph.D authors a new book


The unveiling of the historical piece Ile- Ife, Cradle of the World with four thematic focuses, hostiry, culture, tourism and culture that connects continents and auspicious narratives took place at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria.


The author, H.E., The Nigerian Ambassador to Jamaica and High Commissioner To Haiti, Belize, the Dominican Republic and Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the International Seabed Authority, Maureen Tamuno, Ph.D said she was inspired to do the book as an answer and solution to numerous quests she meets in her current assignment by countless individuals seeking their original roots.

The book espouses the ancestral, cultural, traditional, economic and religious beliefs of the ancient city of Ile-Ife as the origin of modern civilization and technology. It draws historical and fraternal connections of Ile-Ife, its linkages to the Caribbean and South America.


There are intellectual notes from serving Ambassadors and historians in the book.

The unveiling was at the instance of His Royal Majesty, Ooni of the Source, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja 11, 51st Ooni of Ife. He was also the Royal Father of the day leading an avalanche of Royal Fathers of the Oduduwa nation.


The event had in attendance members of the diplomatic community, top security and government officials, and very very distinguished guests.
