The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a suspect identified as Aniekan James who gruesomely murdered his 35-year-old only Son Odudu James during a heated argument between Father and the son.
The culprit was arrested on the 16 June 2023 after he shot the victim to death.
The state Commissioner of Police Olatoye Durosinmi, revealed this over weekend when parading the suspect and other 268 people detained for variety of crimes in the State.
“On June 16, 2023, one Aniekan James of Ikot Ndot village in Ukanafun LGA was arrested by the Ukanafun division for shooting his 35-year-old only son, Odudu James, who had been having a war of words with him. The suspect is alleged to be a habitual murderer who has committed murders in Lagos and Aba states,” the Commissioner stated.
