The Gubernatorial Candidate of Accord Party Chief (Barr) DUMO LuLu-Briggs reiterated his preparedness to be of service to Rivers State people and also to change the narrative that, “politics is dirty in Nigeria” to “Politics is a Beauty in Nigeria”.
In a meeting where he played host to Women leaders of the National council of women society, Dumo said; “I have made it known that, 100% of the man I have become today is an effort consciously put by my mother. This effort I speak about of my mother cuts across all ramification of life’s existence, most of all, there is always a way she makes her petitions to God for my sake, and God responds swiftly to every of her prayers. I have since then learnt that God is closer to women, and He responds to them faster than anticipated “.
He said, For this reason I have made the women who are the mothers of society, one of my very important constituency, and have come to love them in that regard. I don’t joke with the women.
DUMO said the meeting with these women leaders is a heart to heart interaction that gave him greater confidence, seeing that the women/mothers have become more interested in politics than they had been.
He went on to reasure them of his commitment towards not just them but to seeing a better Rivers State that work for every man, woman and child.
Women Leaders in attendance were Mrs Bridget Pemi, the Acting President of National Council of Women Society. Queen Tubobereni, President of Market Women, Rivers State and Mrs Rosemary Ugoji, Coordinator, Women Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, Rivers State branch amongst others.
