MAUREEN TAMUNO APPOINTED MD, ABUJA INVESTMENT COMPANY
Ms Maureen Tamuno has been appointed the new Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL).
She had served as the Nigerian High Commissioner to Jamaica, Belize, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
Ms Tamuno’s appointment was announced in a statement released on Thursday and it takes immediate effect.
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), approved the appointment.
Mr Wike, in the statement said, the newly appointed Managing Director was an experienced public officer, entrepreneur, and diplomat.
“The Hon. Minister of the FCT Barrister Nyesom Wike has approved the appointment of Ambassador (Dr) Maureen Tamuno as the new Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited, (AICL).”
The statement also announced the immediate termination of the contract of Messrs Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd for the management of the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
Now contracted, is Messrs Julius Berger Nig Plc that has also been charged to embark on an immediate but comprehensive renovation of the centre.
