Murder case against dismissed officer who killed Alafuro Peterside stalls in court, magistrate transfered

The hearing of the murder case involving Amos Galadima, the dismissed police officer who allegedly shot and killed Alafuro Peterside in front of his wife and children along Stadium road was on Thursday stalled at the Port Harcourt Magistrate court.

According to Noble report, parties in the matter had arrived the court on Thursday when they were informed by a staff of the court that the trial magistrate Chief magistrate Amadi Nna has been transferred and can no longer entertain fresh cases or case listed for hearing except those listed for judgement.

Counsel to the complainant, Nonso Akujuwo who spoke with journalists said they were in court to seek Justice and pleaded with the Rivers state Attorney General and Commissioner for justice to transfer the matter to the high court since the matter is a murder case.

Recall the Alafuro Peterside a father of three was allegedly shot dead by a dismissed police officer Amos Galadima in August 2023 at a popular bar along stadium road.
