NDDC Boss Godswill Akpabio Resigns from FEC

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has become the second person to resign from office to focus on his presidential race.

In a statement via his social media page the NDDC Boss said “As directed by President Muhamadu Buhari, that any member of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), who has political ambition should resign on or before Monday, 16th May, 2022, I formally resigned from the FEC and also submitted my Presidential Nomination Form at the party’s national secretariat, Abuja. I never withdrew from the race as being rumoured. I am in the race, not only for my party’s presidential ticket but to also win the presidential race and be sworn as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on May, 29th 2023 by the grace of God”.

Akpabio who was a former governor of  Akwa Ibom State, is a presidential aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
