NDDC Organizes Financial Management Training for Staff
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has launched a seven-day personal financial management training programme for its staff, aimed at promoting and enhancing literacy on financial independence.
Themed “Personal Financial Management Training: Strategies for Eliminating Debt and Achieving Financial Freedom,” the training covers essential aspects of financial management, including psychological barriers to financial planning, cash flow management, money mindset, investment planning, and debt control.
The NDDC Managing Director/CEO Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, while giving his keynote address, admonished staff on the importance of financial stability.
“Financial instability not only affects personal well-being but also impacts productivity and organisational integrity…
As public servants entrusted with the resources that fuel the future of the Niger Delta, it is crucial that we practice what we preach – ‘responsibility’, both in public service and in personal finance.” He stated.
The primary goal of this training is to equip staff with the knowledge necessary for financial literacy, stability, and security. This initiative will help prevent debt, curb overspending, improve spending strategies, and support effective retirement planning.
Also in attendance were the NDDC Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Hon. Alabo Boma Iyaye, NDDC Management staff and the Managing Director, Save A Life Mission Hospital, Dr. Richard Okoye.
