New born discovered in waste Container with placenta in Port Harcourt

A day old baby was found in a waste receptacle in Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt.

The baby was discovered by the CSO of Mile 3 Diobu Comrade Godstime Ihunwo, during the cold weather in the early hours of Friday at about 3am, who contacted a journalist Mr Prince Wiro.

The duo went to the Nkpolu Police station in Mile 3 to make formal compliant while a nurse was sought and found that early morning to give the baby who was still with placenta first aid.

“To the Glory of God the child who was almost dieing is responding to treatment,” Wiro said in a post he shared on facebook.

Meanwhile, in another story, the Bayelsa Commissioner of Transportation, Hon. Grace Ayakpo Ekiotenne was spotted around the melford okilo express way, Yenagoa, making sure Keke riders comply with the Governor’s order of transport fare reduction in the state.

Recall that the Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri had given orders for Keke operators in the State to reduce their fare rate and charge N50 for short distances and N100 for long distances.
