Team Nigeria increased it’s gold medals yesterday at the 22nd African Athletics Championship in Mauritius, with the women’s 4x100m relay team after beating South Africa and The Gambia in the final.
Despite stiff challenge from the South Africans and The Gambians, the Nigerian women controlled the race from the beginning till the end, securing the gold medal in 44.45seconds. South Africa was second in 44.87seconds, while The Gambia finished third in 44.97seconds.
