A glance at the 22nd edition of Nigeria Oil and Gas Energy Week 2023 which held on 9-13 July at the ICC, Abuja. The week was filled with insightful discussions and engaging panel sessions, bringing together industry experts and leaders to explore various aspects of Nigeria’s evolving energy sector, as well as the international exhibition that provided a platform for world-renowned B2B networking and deal-making opportunities.

Among activities that took place during NOG Energy Week 2023 include; NOG Golf Day, Nigerian Content Seminar, Strategic Conference, Leadership Roundtable, International Exhibition, India Pavilion, NOG Energy Awards, NOG Energy Club, World Renowned Networking.

Uyi Osemwegie Esq. emerged as the overall winner of the NCDMB sponsored golf tournament during the 2023 NOG Energy Week Conference & Exhibition. As the champion, he was awarded the prestigious prize of a 2022 GS3 SUV model sponsored by GAC Motor Nigeria.

The Nigerian Content Seminar focused on enhancing local participation in the energy sector through discussions on content development, capacity building, and business opportunities. The Seminar emphasised the significance of promoting Nigerian content for sustainable industry growth and economic development.

The Strategic Conference addressed key topics such as energy transition, gas development, investment attractiveness, and Nigeria’s upstream sector. The conference aimed to shape the nation’s energy agenda and foster collaboration for a sustainable future.

The Technical Seminar focused on advancing technical skills for energy security and transformation. Experts discussed topics including digital transformation, drilling techniques, new energies, decarbonisation, and operational excellence, aiming to enhance knowledge and promote innovation in the energy industry.

A new addition to the NOG Energy Week 2023 schedule included the inaugural Leadership Roundtable, bringing together the highest level of government, public and private sector for engaging, thought-provoking debate and solution on critical issues surrounding Upstream Investment.

This new high-level discussion held under Chatham House rules was sponsored by IPPG (Independent Petroleum Producers Group) as the Leadership Roundtable Host and BCG (Boston Consulting Group) as the Leadership Roundtable Knowledge Partner.

The International Exhibition showcased a diverse range of industry-leading products, services, and innovations. Exhibitors and attendees had the opportunity to connect, explore cutting-edge technologies, and forge valuable business relationships. The exhibition played a crucial role in facilitating knowledge exchange and driving the growth of the energy sector.

The India Pavilion at the International Exhibition presented a vibrant showcasing of India’s oil and gas national export excellence, serving as a platform for networking and collaboration between Indian and Nigerian industry players, fostering stronger partnerships and exploring opportunities for mutual growth and development in the energy industry.

The NOG Energy Week Awards highlighted exceptional achievements in the energy industry, with ND Western winning the Best Stand Award and Nigeria LNG receiving the Nigerian Content Contribution Award. Coleman was recognised as the Indigenous Company of the Year, NNPC was awarded the NOG Equality in Energy Award, while Rosario Osobase was honored as the NOG Rising Star of the Year. These awards celebrated excellence, innovation, and contributions to the energy sector.

The NOG Energy Club provided registered VIPs with an exclusive and premium environment to meet, network, and exchange ideas with industry leaders, government officials, and policymakers.
