Vice president Osinbajo, on Saturday 19th 2022 was conferred with a title of Ebi-akubo-owei in Bayelsa state.
According to a statement on Sunday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, titled ‘Niger Delta deserves considerable developmental gains,’ Sasime said the Vice President’s name had been mentioned for many good reasons.
The Vice President of Nigeria was conferred with the traditional title of “Ebi-akubo-owei of Agia-Ibe” (one who brings glory to the land of Agie-Ibe) by the Amanana-owei of Agie-Ibe, Prof. Millionaire Abowei.
Osinbajo, who spoke at the construction flag-off of the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge on the Yenagoa-Oporoma-Ukubie road, said; the Federal Government gives it’s full support and collaboration with the Niger Delta, saying, “You have not been forgotten.”
Highlighting the importance of such infrastructure projects to Nigeria’s development, he said, “We must always find the commitment, innovation, and persistence to put in place the quality and scale of infrastructure needed, to give our people the productive and competitive edge to better their lives, and we need to do it as fast as possible.”
He also noted that the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge construction is a symbol for development in the region and will have a far-reaching impact on the lives of the people in the communities.
