The second day of the Port Harcourt Boat Festival concluded with a plethora of festivities, including thrilling boat races, leisurely cruises for families from the club to Osaka down to Dutch Island, and lively music and dance performances.

A highlight of the day was the induction of over 10 new members into the club, reflecting its continued growth and popularity among boat enthusiasts.

The event, which commenced the previous day, serves as an annual commemoration of the year the club was established, reinforcing its rich history and tradition of maritime excellence.

In his address, the first Commodore of the club, HRM Alfred Diete Spiff, offered valuable insights and suggestions for future editions of the festival. He urged the organizers to enhance the event’s vibrancy and appeal by introducing exciting additions such as underwater bikes and more luxury boats, both to the club’s offerings and to the festival as a whole. With his guidance and vision, the Port Harcourt Boat Festival is poised to become an even more spectacular celebration of boating culture in the years to come.

The event reached its grand finale with an awards presentation to the deserving winners of both the boat race and boat inspection, presided over by Diete Spiff.
