REFUTAL OF MALICIOUS AND DEFAMATORY PUBLICATION MADE AGAINST HM KING DISRAEL GBOBO BOB-MANUEL (II), AMANYANABO & PARAMOUNT RULER OF ABONNEMA KINGDOM IN THE SOUTH-SOUTH VOICE NEWSPAPERS AND SOCIAL MEDIA.
The Abonnema Divisional Council of Traditional Ruler and Chiefs made up of the various War Canoe Chieftaincy Houses ni Abonnema, on behalf of the people of Abonnema have noted with dismay and disgust the publication made on pages 6&7 of the South-South Voice Newspaper of April 20-27, 2024 Vol. 41 No.7 and other social media platforms by mischief makers.
These mischief makers have signed and published or caused to be published fake information of certain persons allegedly meeting and had passed a “VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE” on our esteemed Amanyanabo, His Majesty (Dr.) Disrael Gbobo Bob-Manuel (Il), Ekineye Gbobo, (Owukori IX), KSC, JP, DSSRS.
We wish to state categorically that, that publication is FALSE IN IT’S ENTIRETY and of no consequence whatsoever. Therefore, the general public, especially the good people of the Kalabari Ethnic Nationality are enjoined to ignore the said publication in the South-South Voice newspaper as well as on the social media, AS THE ENTIRE CONTENTS ARE NOT TRUE. It is solely an orchestrated and sponsored attempt by a few persons to undermine and ridicule the position and personality of our Amanyanabo so as to incite strife and destabilize peace in Abonnema.
We have however, briefed our lawyers, and we assure the general public that steps are currently being taken using legal means to stop this menace.
