Rivers Accord Party has Inaugurated her governorship campaign council members which also includes Chief Barrister Dumo Lulu-Briggs and his deputy as members, on Wednesday 9th November 2022, at the party’s secretariat in Portharcourt, Rivers State.
Delivering his welcome address,The State Chairman of Accord party, Dr. Nnanna Onyekwere, said “Today’s event is the beginning of a regime that will respect every boy, girl, man, woman, old and young, and care for he or her welfare. In a couple of years to come, you’d beat your chest and say that you were a part of this from the beginning.”
The Director of the party, Rt. Hon Iyke Oji, who spoke at the inaugural event said, “Our candidate today has no political God father.” According to him, Dumo is a philanthropist with goodwill who would be coming to liberate Rivers State come May 2023.
“We are not going to the government house to loot, because we have it already, but we are going there for the needy and to rewrite the map, vote for one Accord. This is the only way we can eradicate poverty, ensure that there is good education and there would be more job creation in our state He added..”
Chairman of the Action Alliance Party and his members reiterated their support for Dumo Lulu-Briggs. They described him as a man who has learned and is ready to lead the people of Rivers State.
Speaking to Rivers people at the ceremony, Cheif Dumo Lulu-Briggs charged the members of the party to act in one accord and vote accordingly, admonishing them to think not what the State can do for them, but what they can do for the State.
He said “You’re not casting your vote for Accord, but for the old woman in your community, the people of Andoni ( after he gave an illustration of how Andoni is a good tourist center ), You would be casting your vote for the future of Rivers State.”

Alalibo Federicks, Mr. Tonye Ada-George,Mrs. Ruth Benemesia Opiah,Mr. Charlie Aniabari, Dr. Ibiye Karibo InkoTariah, Mr. Dawari Amiesimaka, Mr. Moses Gonsi, Soso Bob Manuel, Fubara Iyagba esq., Mr. Iboroma Harry, Chief Innocent Naador.
Hon. Naomi Asuma Duke, Advocate Abiegbe-Tomzine,Prince Austin Kabari, Mr. Evans Woherem, Mrs. Helen Prest Ajayi, Dr Cyprian Oparaodu, High Chief James Francis, Mr.Worlu Chimenem, Ms. Mase Bob Manuel, amongst others.
The party Deputy Chairman, Pastor Amabere Jalabo, gave the vote of thanks.
He said “The assignment has been cut out for us, ensuring that we match to the brick house, come May 2023. The rain today was a blessing. As you leave to your various destinations, you will get that blessing.”
Arch Bishop Magret closed the meeting with a prayer.
