Rivers State Police Command has confirmed that a commercial passenger bus was hijacked by gunmen along the Emohua road two days ago.
The bus which left Port Harcourt was on the Emohua-Kalabari Road when it was hijacked.

Acting spokesperson of the Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the commercial bus has been found and efforts are on to secure the release of the abducted passengers. DSP Iringe-Koko clarified that only one bus was hijacked. She said the command has deployed its tactical team to search the area where the incident happened.

She urged residents in the area to report any suspicious movement to the nearby police station and appealed to the family members of the abducted passengers to have faith and collaborate with the command to secure the early release of their loved ones.
