RIVERS STATE GOV. ANNOUNCES TRANS-KALABARI ROAD PROJECT LAUNCH IN MAY 2024.

Rivers State Government has announced plans to launch the monumental Trans-Kalabari road project in May 2024. Speaking at a Thanksgiving celebration honouring Governor SIM Fubara’s victory at the Supreme Court in Degema LGA, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, revealed that preparations have been finalized for the inauguration of the “original” Trans-Kalabari road.

Danagogo emphasized the significant benefits Degema and surrounding areas will reap from the completion of the road project. He highlighted that Tombia, Bakana, Ogurama, Bukuma, and other areas will now have road access for goods and services. Criticizing lawmakers whose seats have been declared vacant for contemplating to impeach Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Danagogo questioned the basis for such moves, urging the lawmakers to declare to the public alleged offenses that warranted their actions.

He dubbed the Simplified Movement Thanksgiving events across Rivers State as “Operation Protect Rivers State,” “Operation Liberate Rivers State,” and “Operation Salvage Rivers State,” rallying support for the state’s interests.

Danagogo extended gratitude to the people of Degema for their overwhelming participation in thanking God for His blessings upon Rivers State, assuring continued prosperity under Sir Fubara’s leadership. He affirmed that the initiative is driven by the collective welfare and advancement of Rivers State, reinforcing the commitment of all participants to safeguard the state’s interests.
