The Rivers State Government through the Ministry of Special Projects has built the Hon. Justice Iche Ndu Magistrates’ Court Complex, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt. The project was commissioned in May, 2023. The contracting firm, ALEED Construction Ltd. on Friday 10th November, 2023 handed over the project to the Ministry of Special Projects which in turn handed it to top officials of the Rivers State Judiciary.
The complex has four magistrate court buildings with each named after a prominent judge such as:
Hon. Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi Block.
Hon, Justice Elizabeth Kinta Membere Block.
Others are: Hon. Justice Suzzette Eberechi Nyesom Wike Block
and Hon. Justice Ihemnachor Wilfred Obuzor Block.
The complex also has a clinic, police cell and a canteen. Earlier, the Director of Infrastructure in the Ministry of Special Projects, Surv. Peter Ogolo advised officials of the Judiciary to take care of the facilities judiciously as a message from the honorable commissioner for Special Projects, Engr. Emeka Woke.
