On December 4th, the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Cosmopolitan marked World Special Needs Day with the theme “Stitches of Ability” at the School for Special Needs in Borikiri, Port Harcourt.
The event showcased the creativity and skills of special needs children through engaging competitions. Attendees were treated to outstanding performances, including choreography, drama, and other displays of talent that captivated and inspired the audience.
In addition to celebrating these abilities, the Rotary Club made a significant impact by awarding scholarships to some deserving special needs students, including one currently enrolled at Ignatius Ajuru University.
The event emphasized the importance of inclusion, empowerment, and recognizing the unique talents within the special needs community.
