The Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB) in conjunction with the State Branch of RedCross carried out a 3 day Campus sensitization and vaccination with COVID-19 vaccine Johnson and Johnson brand.
The Campus Sensitization was carried out on the 27th through 29th of March, 2023 at Iganatius Ajuru University.
In a Communique signed by the State Health Educator, Dr. Babbo Diana, said the Campus Sensitization was all in a bid to improve the coverage of covid-19 vaccination and give necessary protection to individuals of eligible age in the school.
The event took place within the rumuolumeni campus, with support from the school clinic and a total of 124 persons accepted the vaccine though over 500 were sensitized.
“It is still the desire of the government that every last eligible individual is protected against COVID-19 by vaccination which is available at our various health facilities and designated vaccination sites till herd immunity or communal protection is acheived,” the communique reads in part.
