The Department of Theatre & Film Studies at Rivers State University, in collaboration with the Séki Dance Drama Foundation, Presents the first ever Sekiology International Conference.
Sekiology, rooted in Yibo Koko’s SEKI, explores the rich cultural heritage of Rivers State, defining the Niger Delta region’s identity through aquaculture, edutainment, and arts.
The conference will comprehensively explore the concept, content, and potentials of “Seki,”while the theme focuses on “Seki Performance and Cultural Identity in the Niger Delta,” with sub-themes ranging from theatre directing to digital culture and performance.
