The funeral ceremony honoring Mrs. Virginia Ibiere Soberenge Braide unfolded at the Kalabari National College (KNC) Buguma, marking a poignant farewell to Mama, who passed away at the age of 94. The solemn occasion was graced by a myriad of activities paying homage to Mama’s life and legacy.

The funeral service, overseen by the Three Cross Society of Nigeria and overseas, resonated with poignant reflections on Mama’s life. The speaker urged the bereaved family and well-wishers to emulate the exemplary virtues of Christ and the invaluable lessons imparted by Mama throughout her lifetime.

A vibrant cultural display by the Rivers State art and culture troupe, of which Mama was a dedicated member during her lifetime, added a touch of tradition and heritage to the proceedings. Mossy B, a renowned Port Harcourt entertainer, and the Tom-West Iria dancer, alongside other musical bands, contributed to the poignant atmosphere, offering their heartfelt tributes to Mama.
