The Rivers State Police Command has paraded four policemen for allegedly assaulting a woman around the Ada George axis of Port Harcourt. The officers were arrested following a viral video of the alleged assault on social media.
The Rivers State Police Command has also called on the victim to come forward to the police headquarters to enable the police to carry out a proper investigation.

In another related development, four Policemen were also paraded for allegedly extorting money from residents.
The officers attached to a neighboring state command were said to have extorted 6.5 million naira from three boys after they accused them of being internet fraudsters. Commissioner of Police, CP Nwonyi Emeka, during the weekly press briefing, said the officers have been in detention for over two months and that an investigation is still ongoing on the matter.
