We are making Abuja Investment hub – AICL boss, Tamuno… woos investors

The Group Managing Director/CEO of Abuja Investments Company Limited, AICL, Her Excellency Ambassador Maureen Tamuno, has said efforts to make Abuja an investment hub are yielding fruits and called on investors to be part of the great transformation taking place in Nigeria’s capital city.

She stated this in Abuja at a reception; Abuja Business and Investment Summit,

to announce the coming first ever Abuja Business and Investment Summit to be hosted by the AICL at the Dunes Center in Abuja.

Ambassador Tamuno also emphasized AICL’s commitment to developing essential businesses and services in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. She highlighted the invaluable support from the Honourable Minister, FCT, His Excellency Nyesom Wike, and announced the upcoming Abuja Business and Investment Summit scheduled for October 16-18, 2024, with the theme “Optimizing Investment Through Partnership.”

She also said the Tinubu administration is doing something new to make Abuja a centre of business.

‘’Abuja is a place to invest in, we are ready to collaborate with investors, we are ready to partner with people, we have the infrastructure, we have all that it takes. The environment is conducive and favourable enough for business opportunities,’’ she stated.

She lauded the efforts of President Tinubu and Minister Wike for paying attention to improving infrastructure in Abuja and making it conducive for businesses to thrive.

Mr Samuel Udo Atang, the Head of the Civil Service, Federal Capital Territory, who represented the Minister at the event, noted the importance of diplomatic community in promoting economic prosperity and assured of the administration’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for business growth in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

Also, Chairman of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, commended Amb. Tamuno on this noble and laudable initiative while she pledged her support towards the success of the coming event in October.

Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Cuba, Ambassador Ben Okoyen, expressed excitement over the large turn-out at the event, while His Excellency, Salaheddine Abbas, the High Commissioner of Cameroon to Nigeria, expressed optimism about future projects under the leadership of Wike and encouraged collaboration with AICL.

He also promised the full support of the diplomatic community to the project.

The reception facilitated networking and discussions on investment opportunities, setting the stage for a successful summit. Attendees expressed optimism about the future of investments in Abuja and praised AICL’s efforts in promoting economic diversification and development.

The reception was attended by numerous distinguished dignitaries, including over 30 foreign ambassadors, High Commissioners, members of diplomatic corps, high-level government officials as well as top Civil Servants.

The event served as a prelude to the highly anticipated business and investment summit scheduled for October, 2024.

The cocktail created a platform to network and showcase to prospective investors the activities of AICL and its other subsidiaries.

The initiative was commended by many who spoke at the event.
