Degema Local Government Area is poised for significant development in 2025 with the formal presentation of a ₦13,811,982,010.70 billion budget proposal to the 10th Degema Legislative Assembly tagged the “Budget of Reformation and Transition”.

Making the presentation today, the Executive Chairman Hon. Dr. Agiriye Monima Harry, said his priority is on the rapid development and enhanced service delivery for all residents of the LGA.

The Chairman noted that capital projects, that would focus on infrastructural development, vital social services, and impactful community initiatives across all 17 wards would be embarked upon.

He underscored the budget’s strategic importance in navigating current challenges and ensuring the completion of key projects that directly improve community well-being.

This commitment to progress has been met with optimism from community leaders and stakeholders, who see the “Budget of Reformation and Transition” as a catalyst for strengthened governance and improved service delivery, further solidifying Hon. Harry’s reputation for prudent and people-centered leadership.

In a related development, the Council Chairman has sworn-in 5 individuals as Supervisors.
