A Life of Faith, Love, and Legacy: Farewell to Elder Reuben Frank Dick Harry.
“Death is not a foe, but an inevitable adventure.”
On Saturday, 2nd August 2025, the peaceful town of Obuama in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State stood still as family, friends, and the community gathered to bid farewell to Late Elder Reuben Frank Dick Harry a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a beacon of faith and legacy.
Born into the noble family of Frank Dick Tom Big Harry and Madam Isoibikikia House, Elder Reuben Frank grew up in Obuama where he committed his life to love, service, and the nurturing of both his immediate and extended family. Through hard work and sacrifice, he played a significant role in raising his siblings and supporting his wider family network.
His influence extended beyond the family. A man of unwavering commitment, he was instrumental in the emergence and installation of Alabo Kio Stanley Tom Big Harry, an act that further engraved his name in the sands of Kalabari history.
The funeral service was a heartfelt mix of tears and praise, as tributes poured in celebrating his evangelical life, kindness, and devotion. The District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Rivers District, Rev. Dr. D.D.T. Ibulubo, delivered a stirring sermon that encouraged the family to remain grounded in faith, just as their father was. He also seized the moment to make an altar call, inviting all to reflect on their walk with Christ.
Rev. I.M. Braide offered powerful prayers for the family and for the people of Obuama, trusting God for revival and spiritual awakening in the land.
A special musical rendition was presented by members of the Kalabari Section and 105 Aggrey Road in honour of their beloved elder. The Obuama Council of Chiefs also paid glowing tribute to Elder Reuben Frank, recognizing him as a steadfast part of every good endeavour in their community.
Though he has departed, Pa Reuben Frank Dick Harry leaves behind a strong legacy: two children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, in-laws, and countless relatives whose lives he touched deeply.

His life was a testimony of service, love, and devotion — and even in death, his impact continues to resonate.
